Northland football player in hospital after opposition player allegedly punched him

Northland football player in hospital after opposition player allegedly punched him.

  • WHERE:
  • at Tikipunga Sports Park in Whangārei

  • WHEN:posted on the 30th of July

    WHY:
  • because Santiago and a Tikipunga player had an argument on the field

  • WHAT:
  • A Northland football player is in hospital getting his jaw reconstructed after he was allegedly punched during a football game.Northern Wairoa player Santiago Cobus, 40, had his jaw broken in three places after he was allegedly punched by a Tikipunga player while sitting on the bench. The incident happened during the game between the two clubs on Saturday at Tikipunga Sports Park in Whangārei. The spokesman Chris Mason said Santiago and a Tikipunga player had an argument on the field which resulted in them both being subbed off. it was not expected and Players on the feild could hear his jaw break. Chris said the incident was "absolutely disgusting" and Santiago was in Hospital getting his jaw reconstructed.

IN MY OPINION:It seems descusting because if you were playing a game and then all of a sudden you heard a crack.

WONDERING:I wonder what the argument was about?

-I wonder what happened to the Tikipuga player?
-Since you were able to hear the crack from the feild I wonder if the ref stopped the game or not?
