Harry Potter Chair Sold At Auction

Harry Potter Chair Sold At Auction

10th April 2016

Who: This is the chair that JK Rowling, the auther of the Harry potter series sat on.
Where: The chair was sold at an Auction for $560,000.00 NZD, in the US.
When: Jk Rowling sat on this chair while he wrote the first two books of the Harry Potter series.  It sold at auction on April 6th 2016.
Why: JK Rowling was given four mismatched dining room chairs in 1995 in Edinburgh for free before he started writing the books and this one was the comfiest one to sit on.
What happend: The chair went up for auction with the following messages from JK Rowling, he  wrote a message to go with the chair it said ''you may not find me pretty but don't judge on what you see'' and ''I wrote Harry Potter while sitting on this chair''. “I was given four mismatched dining room chairs in 1995 and this was the comfiest one, which is why it ended up stationed permanently in front of my typewriter, supporting me while I typed out Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. My nostalgic side is quite sad to see it go, but my back isn’t.”
IN MY OPINION: I wonder who has brought the chairs,  i would not pay that much for one chair!!!
